AZAP Laundry Service Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how AZAP Laundry Service collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use the AZAP customer app, website, booking, customer support, and laundry pickup and delivery services.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use AZAP, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, pickup and delivery address, account information, customer preferences, order details, laundry weight, service selections, detergent preferences, add-ons, oversized-item and shoe-cleaning requests, laundry instructions, notes, order status, charges, tips, rewards activity, AZAP Care information, and customer-service communications.
2. Pickup & Delivery Verification Photos
AZAP drivers or authorized personnel may photograph laundry bags at pickup and/or delivery. Photos may be associated with your order and used to confirm pickup or delivery, document bag count or condition, maintain chain of custody, investigate missing, damaged, misplaced, or disputed orders, prevent fraud, and provide customer support. Personnel are instructed to avoid intentionally photographing customers, children, home interiors, neighboring properties, license plates, or unrelated persons or property. A photo may incidentally show part of the surrounding pickup or delivery area.
3. Address & Location Information
AZAP uses the address you provide to determine service availability, schedule pickup and delivery, provide navigation, assign and manage orders, and complete transportation services. Location-related information may also be processed where necessary for routing, delivery verification, safety, security, or operation of the service.
4. Payments & Saved Cards
AZAP uses Stripe or another authorized payment processor to securely process payments. When you provide a card, the payment processor may securely save the payment method for the authorized order and permitted future use. AZAP does not need to store your full card number in its own database. AZAP may retain payment-related references such as processor customer or payment-method identifiers, card brand, last four digits, transaction identifiers, payment status, and payment history.
5. Automatic Charges After Weighing
After AZAP receives and weighs your laundry, the final amount is calculated and the authorized saved payment method may be charged automatically. The final amount may include verified laundry weight, selected service, applicable minimum charge, add-ons, oversized items, shoe cleaning, authorized tips, discounts or rewards, and other customer-authorized charges.
6. Failed Payments
If an automatic payment is declined, unavailable, or requires additional authentication, AZAP may notify you and request confirmation, an updated payment method, or additional action. Delivery may be delayed until required payment is completed.
7. How We Use Information
We may use information to create and manage accounts, accept and process orders, provide pickup and delivery, assign employees and drivers, process laundry, calculate charges, process authorized payments, administer rewards, communicate order updates, provide customer support, verify service, investigate disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, improve and secure the service, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.
8. Employees & Drivers
Authorized AZAP owners, employees, and drivers may access customer information when reasonably necessary for their assigned work. For example, assigned drivers may need a customer's name, address, phone number, order number, and pickup or delivery instructions. Processing employees may need order identifiers, laundry preferences, add-ons, special instructions, bag labels, and processing requirements.
9. Sharing Information & Service Providers
AZAP does not sell customer personal information in exchange for money. We may share information with service providers that support payment processing, hosting, databases, authentication, cloud storage, notifications, communications, mapping, navigation, security, fraud prevention, or application infrastructure; with authorized AZAP personnel as needed to fulfill an order; and when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or respond to a security incident. Current app infrastructure includes Stripe for payment processing and Supabase for functions such as authentication, database, backend, and order services. Mapping features may load content from OpenStreetMap, and customers may choose to open a driver location in Google Maps. These third parties may receive technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, or request details when their services are used, subject to their own privacy practices.
10. Push Notifications & Device Subscription Data
If you choose to enable order notifications, AZAP may collect and store a push-notification subscription associated with your phone number. A push subscription can include a notification endpoint and technical keys or identifiers used to deliver notifications to your device or browser. AZAP uses this information to send order, message, payment, pickup, and delivery alerts. Notification permission is optional and may be revoked through the app or your device/browser settings.
11. Live Driver Location & Mapping
When your order is out for delivery, the customer app may display the assigned driver's live or recently reported location. AZAP processes the driver's location for dispatch, delivery coordination, order tracking, safety, and service verification. The customer app may load a map from OpenStreetMap and may provide a link to open the location in Google Maps. AZAP does not require the customer's precise device location to place a laundry order; customers provide a pickup/delivery address directly.
12. Information Stored on Your Device
The app may store limited information on your device or browser, such as recent order references, your phone number for order lookup or notifications, notification preferences, guest-session status, and similar settings needed for app functionality. You can remove local app data through your browser/device controls or by uninstalling/removing the app, although doing so does not automatically delete records retained in AZAP's service systems.
13. Photo & Order Record Retention
Pickup and delivery photos are operational records used for service verification, security, documentation, dispute resolution, and loss prevention. AZAP retains them only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
14. Data Retention
AZAP retains different records for different periods depending on their purpose. Account information may be kept while an account is active; transaction and payment records may be retained for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute, and legal purposes; order records and messages may be retained for reasonable customer-service and business purposes. Information no longer reasonably necessary may be deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of unless retention is permitted or required by law.
15. Account Deletion
Customers who create an account may initiate account deletion through the app or visit Request account and data deletion without signing in or reinstalling the app. Email azaplaundry.support@gmail.com with the subject "AZAP account and data deletion request" and the email address or phone number associated with the account. AZAP may verify account ownership before completing the request. Account deletion is intended to delete the account and associated personal information except information AZAP is permitted or required to retain, such as limited transaction, tax, payment, fraud-prevention, dispute, claim, or legal records. Independent payment processors may retain information they are legally required to maintain.
16. Privacy Choices & California Residents
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive information about the handling of your personal information. AZAP may need to verify a request. AZAP will honor applicable California privacy rights and will not discriminate against a customer for exercising legally protected privacy rights.
17. Children
AZAP customer services are intended for adults. Customers must be at least 18 years old to independently create an account or enter into a laundry-service transaction. AZAP does not knowingly seek to collect information from children for customer laundry-service accounts.
18. Security
AZAP uses reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect customer information. No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure. Customers should protect their credentials and notify AZAP if they believe an account has been accessed without authorization.
19. Changes to This Policy
AZAP may update this Privacy Policy as services, technology, business practices, or legal obligations change. The current version will display an updated effective date, and additional notice or consent will be provided where required.
